The decision to pursue therapy can be a difficult one and you have already taken the first step towards self-improvement.
As a clinical psychologist, I believe that therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process. I provide individual therapy to adults 18 years and old with a variety of presenting concerns including: depression, life transitions, grief and loss, relationship issues, internet/media addiction, LGBTQIA+ concerns and self-esteem.
My aim as a therapist is to provide a warm and comfortable space for self-reflection, with the goal of helping my patients gain more insight into their lives/behaviors and finding the courage to make changes. Therapy is a highly individual process, meaning that the experience should be specific to your needs; "one size fits all" does not apply! As people are so varied in their experiences, perspectives and values, therapy should reflect each patient’s individuality and specific needs.
Additionally, I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life. I consider myself an ally and aim to provide a safe space for all persons, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity and religious/spiritual affiliation.
